In 1962, my father, Jack Walsh, built an A-frame camp at the end of the road on Pleasant Lake, as a summer home for my mom, Pat, and her soon to be four children.  I came along in 1965, and spent every summer as a kid playing on the lake with my brothers and sister, our cousins and all the kids who grew up there.  It was magical.  I couldn't imagine wanting more.  We swam, fished, caught crayfish and fireflies, waterskied and floated on inner tubes. We played hide and seek, kick the can, baseball and kickball every day.  We would wander the woods, climb trees, build forts and pick blackberries, red raspberries and black raspberries.  My mom would make the best pies in the world out of those berries.  Most of my fondest childhood memories are from being a kid on Pleasant Lake.  After retirement my parents lived "at camp" in the summers, driving up from Florida. They loved to have their children bring the grandkids for weeklong visits and teach them all the things they taught us about the lake.  After my parents passed, my oldest brother built a new house on the original site, and I have since purchased Eagle's Nest, which is 2 houses over from my brother, as well as Fountain View, which is on the opposite end of the road.  We have been working hard to upgrade the properties and we are proud to offer them as weekly vacation rentals.  We hope your family can make some everlasting memories, like our family has for the last 60 years.  Welcome home to Pleasant Lake.
